cooking together

my mom is a great cook.. she cooks, she bakes, she is simply an old fashioned mother.. she worked when I was younger, but she still cooked and she even taught my mbak to cook.. FYI my mbak has worked for my mom since I was one and she was fourteen..

I forgot the first time I learned to cook.. I just remember eating salt in the kitchen while my mom or my mbak was cooking.. LOL~ but when I was in middle school, there's cooking class that we gotta attend for 3 years.. that moment I had known how to cook.. I can say that I was better than other girls in my class.. LOL~

when I finally got a boyfriend, I love to cook even more.. I try new recipes, bake cakes for my boy's birthday, make cookies for his family, etc.. I even teach my boy to cook.. well at least I have an assistant in the kitchen now.. LOL~ now he can help me in chopping, peeling onions, and other preparation before cooking.. but I must say he's still not get used to cook..

here's some food we cooked together:

first time creation (looks like sapo)

sweet & sour prawn

bread pudding

nasi puyunghai

fried prawn

spinach fettucine

curry rice

breaded chicken with mushroom sauce

sawi putih gulung

fettucine carbonara

another pasta creation (forget the name)

sweet & sour chicken

spaghetti bolognese with meatballs

oven-baked spaghetti with salami

actually there's still many of them, but I forgot where I keep the pics.. as you may notice, we cook pasta most of time.. hehehe.. actually I plan to make some bakso lo hoa, but I couldn't find good jelly ear mushroom for it.. *sigh*

we haven't baked together, since I yelled at him a lot  when we cook together and it's actually not good to get angry when you bake.. LOL~ it's ok if you just cook, but it's a big NO for baking cakes.. hahaha.. my naughty boyfriend says that my food taste more delicious if I get mad at him while cooking.. hahaha..

and one day when we get our own house, I wish we can have a special family cooking day :)

it's just fun and strengthens our relationship..
